Knee diseases are sometimes growth plates in young teens, sometimes disfunction of the bone or the bone isn't in the right place and soem are others which i ahve no idea about:|. I have a disfunctional knee disease which means my knee cap unlike yours maybe is not connected to my knee and now there is the bone sticking out. ummm its called Osgood-schlatta and it hurts like hell. Heres a picture of an osgoodschaltta knee the average seperation from the knee (the tendon isn't attached) is about 2 cm myns about 3 cm so i'm going to hospital ok cya
